Kash the Dog – An Artist View

Kash the Dog  Has Been Painted!

An incredible and talented guy named Ori Bengal was given several photos of Kash the Dog, otherwise known as Kash Flow Fouts, and commissioned to have a painting made. This is just a practice piece:

I have been following Ori Bengal for at least 5 years, ever since he started doing “one art work a day”. To see how his art has changed from year to year, month by month, and day by day, has been a source of inspiration to me.

He is the definition of focus, determination, perseverance and creative genius. He not only does painting, but sculpture too! Of course, not every piece is my style, but I appreciate all the pieces of work he has done, and many just blow you away!

Ori Bengal offers a pet painting/portrait service and is a pleasure and a joy to work with. He has a very easy website to maneuver around and submit you photos and story of your pet. He loves dogs, has a passion for dogs, but will paint any pet for you.

His website is http://DogsByOri.com. He is very responsive to questions and will do a fantastic job for you.

That is my public service announcement for today. I wouldn’t even post about this if I wasn’t totally impressed, and appreciative of the art he has already shared with the world.

So, with that said, I’ll tell you about a life saving action that Kash the Dog did, it may have saved my life! So stay tuned and be watching for the next post of the further adventures of our Border Collie-Aussie mix dog named Kash!

Woof!

Kash the Dog Flies Over The Snow!

Dog flies over snow.

Kash the Dog, our Border Collie-Aussie mix four year old dog thinks he heard a mouse under the snow! He jumped from our plowed driveway into the deep snow. He came up with just a snout full of snow!

If you have followed this blog from the start, you will remember what a difficult time we had with this collie mix dog. We don’t think he is wired correctly. (maybe he is and we aren’t) Anyway, he is a very good dog, well behaved for the most part, but still has a small jumping issue.

We invested in a few dog training courses which were very helpful and highly recommend them for this type of dog. We still work on dog training weekly.

Now Kash the Dog is smart. There is no doubt about it! He once watched me install a latch on our gate and the minute I was finished, he went right up to the latch and tried to open it by flipping it with his nose!

But for some reason (maybe because he is a herder) he does not track animals like rabbits, squirrels or other critters by smell. He just hasn’t got that talent which I thought would be a natural for any dog.

He is a sight hunter. He has what seems to be an uncanny ability to see the slightest movement, or notice if something is new or out of place. He is always checking my eyes to see if I see something. We seem to communicate with our eyes. It’s kinda weird how we do that. My wife gets mad because she thinks we gang up on her.

Well if you have a puppy, young dog, or a head-strong dog, you might want to look into this pretty darn good dog training course. It’s an online dog training course, easy to learn from, and you will be surprised at how quickly your dog “just gets it”!

Well the snow is too deep right now for both Kash the Dog and I to go hiking in, so we make several trips up and down our 600 foot driveway. Kash did make it out to the “squirrel tree” out in the swamp, a 900 foot round trip, and he was panting when he got back!

He will probably take a nap in his large orthopedic dog bed Serta Orthopedic Quilted Pillowtop Dog Bed, Large, Brown New Price: $48.83 Old Price: $48.83 You Save: ! He sure does like that bed!

Hope for a early spring!
